Liam was a fruit bat (properly accessorized with knit pear and knit banana with removable knit peel! The pear was actually created for his fellow fruit bat buddy).
Atticus was a spider and we were lucky enough to borrow a costume that my friend made for her son last year. The very same child who was a fruit bat partner this year, as a matter of fact. He had a very cute spider hat too but we accidentally left it at our first stop of the night.
I was a butterfly with a costume thrown together at the last minute from a TJ Maxx scarf and pipe cleaner antennae.
Joe sewed the sweetest daddy fruit bat costume the afternoon of Halloween and I somehow never managed to get any pictures of it. Boo! He took the leftover fleece from Liam's cape and made wings that he basted to one of his favorite black pullover sweaters. Liam loved it because he just looked the way Daddy usually looks in jeans and a sweater until he lifted his arms and then ta-da!...Daddy Fruit Bat!
